Norwich upcycle is pleased to offer this eye catching Victorian Cobblers Iron lamp , made from an Original Victorian Cobblers Iron , these were used by the Populous rather than the then Trade cobblers. the reason for their use was to enable home repair , in Victorian era only the wealthy could afford to get their Shoes repaired by a Trading Cobbler . the reason behind it's Creation of the Cobblers Iron for home repair , Every member of the Family was catered for on the Household Iron , The larger form is for sole male the smaller form , female child soles & heels with the smallest form the lamp stands at 1000mm. it has be covered in Sea Green plastic coating , which makes it very hard wearing . fitted with BS compliant marked switch Bayonet lamp holder. rope flex fused Plug & with 1000mm of electrical . manufactured on the 4 th October 1884 By THE BLAKEY'S Co 140 years later ..... a talking piece in any room , with it's new found Functionality
